What is a Group Owner and How are They Assigned?

When you assign an Admin to oversee a Group as a Group Owner, that Admin can only manage those users and perform actions for that subset of users, such as generating Reports and creating Assignments.

The most common use case is for when a medium or large Organization has multiple Divisions that each have their own manager or someone who oversees training for that Division. This allows Organizational Admins to delegate to Divisional Admins so each Divisional Admin can manage their own Division's set of Members.

If you want to appoint a Group Owner for one of your Groups, first go to the Admin Panel and then navigate to the Groups tab.

Choose and select the group you want to modify.

Find the added member you want to appoint as the Group Owner and select to Make Owner, next to that Member.

If you need to revoke ownership of a member for the group at any time, select to Revoke Ownership, next to the user who you no longer want to own the group.
